Packing for a Caribbean cruise doesn't have to be stressful. Focus on lightweight, versatile items that will keep you comfortable in the tropical heat while saving space in your suitcase.
Let's begin with what not to pack!

❌ Too many outfits (you'll probably wear swimsuits and cover-ups most days!)

The Caribbean sun is strong, so don't skip these essentials:

If you love dressing up, check your cruise planner or emails before you leave. We sail with Royal Caribbean in just two weeks, and they recently sent us the lineup for our sailing.

70s Night – Bell-bottoms, sequins, platform shoes, and all the disco vibes.
Royal Round Up – Western wear like boots, cowboy hats, denim, and plaid.
Caribbean Night – Hawaiian shirts, tropical prints, floral dresses, and bright colors.
80s Night – Neon colors, leg warmers, fishnets, big hair, and your favorite retro accessories.
Not Into Costumes?
No worries! Resort casual is perfectly fine for the parties and around the ship. Think:

One of the biggest mistakes first-time cruisers make is packing everything in their checked luggage. Since your suitcase may not arrive at your cabin for several hours, keep these essentials with you.

Don't Forget...
Magnetic hooks (cabin walls are magnetic and these are amazing for hanging hats, bags, swimsuits, and lanyards.)
Lanyard for your cruise card (if your ship still uses physical cards) a lot of people seem to like and use them, but not us.
Wrinkle-release spray instead of an iron (irons aren't allowed onboard.)
